The Answer to Hard Working Compressors – AMSOIL Synthetic Compressor Oil – SAE 30/40
Known for decades as the product that saves and reverses compressor overheating problems. The OEM and competitor brand is costing you in extra energy which is the sum of increased heat and wear. Something small businesses shouldn’t be paying for.
A Sioux Falls best seller! Your Ear will tell you it’s working!
Compressor Oil Highlights
The correct viscosity grade compressor oil is recommended for use in rotary screw, rotary vane, reciprocating and other compressor applications. Compatible with PAO, ester- and petroleum-based compressor oils. Not compatible with glycol- or silicone-based compressor oils.
AMSOIL PC Series Synthetic Compressor Oil is a long-life, premium compressor lubricant based on novel, proprietary technology. It incorporates the highest quality, thermally stable PAO synthetics fortified with premium non-detergent additives for maximum protection at high temperatures. It lasts up to 8,000 hours, effectively reducing maintenance and waste oil disposal costs.

This is a VERY popular product. I had one customer in Lincoln years back (General Dynamics) test it independently and come to the conclusion that it was indestructible! Thus it’s rated for 8000 hours. Users of this fluid notice right away a quieter smooth running compressor which runs cooler and reduces start-up energy. It’s brought AMSOIL some amazing testimonials on compressors which run all day reducing the need for external fans in tire shops, etc..

Improves Compressor Efficiency
AMSOIL PC Series Oil has low friction properties, resists viscosity increase from oxidation and helps improve operating efficiency.
Controls Foam and Reduces Wear
AMSOIL PC Series Oil contains anti-foam additives and, unlike some other compressor oils, is anti-wear fortified. Good foam control reduces heat, oxidation and wear. High contact regions are protected against wear for increased compressor life and lower maintenance costs.
Superior Varnish Resistance
Varnish is a major problem in high-temperature compressor applications, reducing efficiency and causing mechanical breakdowns. A leading competitor compressor oil and
AMSOIL PC Series Synthetic Compressor Oil (PCI) were run in industrial rotary-screw compressors with a 200°F oil discharge temperature and compared using the Membrane Patch Colorimetry Test (ASTM D7843). The competing oil showed critical varnish potential after only 6,228 hours of service. AMSOIL PC Series continued to show ultra-low varnish potential after 8,000 hours, indicating superior resistance to varnish.
Resists Water Contamination
Water from condensation builds up in compressors and can cause unwanted oil/water emulsions that lead to rust and corrosion. AMSOIL’s ISO 100 (SAE 30 and 40 Compressor oil) is hydrolytically stable. It resists acid formation, readily separates from water and is anti-rust fortified. Water can be easily drained for simplified disposal and increased oil life.
Resists Heat and Oxidation
AMSOIL Compressor Oil combines the inherent stability of premium synthetic base oils with specialized anti-oxidant additives to resist varnish, carbon and acid formation. It is formulated to protect compressors better and last longer in service than petroleum oils, especially during hot operating conditions.
Reduced Oil Consumption
Excessive oil consumption requires frequent top-offs, wasting time and money. A leading competitor synthetic compressor oil and AMSOIL PC Series Synthetic Compressor Oil (PCI) were each run for 8,000 hours in an industrial rotary-screw compressor under the same operating conditions. The excellent foam resistance and air-release properties of AMSOIL PC Series Synthetic Compressor Oil helped reduce oil consumption 35%.
Safety Advantage
AMSOIL PC Series Oil is an ashless, high-flash-point formulation with very low carbon-forming tendencies that minimizes the incidence of ignition-promoting “hot spots.” While PC Series Oil can provide improved fire safety, it cannot be considered non-flammable.
Application Recommendations*
AMSOIL PC Series Oil in the appropriate viscosity is recommended for use in single and multistage rotary screw, vane, centrifugal and reciprocating compressor crankcases and cylinders, vacuum pumps, pressure washer pumps and other applications such as gears, bearings, blowers and pumps. In compressor applications, drain intervals of 8,000 hours or more can be expected under normal operation. Drain intervals are subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis is recommended. For best performance when converting to AMSOIL PC Series Oil, it is recommended the compressor be flushed of the old oil and all filters changed prior to the installation of PC Series Oil. If carbon deposits are present on the internal components, it is recommended they be removed following the compressor manufacturer recommendations.
* Consult the equipment manufacturer or AMSOIL Technical Services for use in specific applications.

Great product that we have used for several years in our Quincy Compressors!!! Would recommend this product to anyone interested in buying a product for their own compressors!! Great company to work with!!! Highly recommend this product!!
Wow, great product!

I bought oil for two compressors, one is my new 7.5 HP that’s awesome and a 40 yr. old 1hp I use that had started slowing down like it was about to seize. I put Amsoil ISO 100 SAE 30/40 in and it literally brought it back from the dead, I thought I was gonna have to scrap it but it runs like brand new now, quieter and no stalling at all. It never had oil this good, Great job, I’m very impressed with your products.

This is a very good oil that I use in place of the manufacture recommended one and it does a better job and allows my compressor to run cooler and quieter than before. great oil!!
Amsoil a fait ses preuves pour moi, rien d’autre ne l’égal !
Maximum Heat dispersion

Amsoil compressor oil used in a freshly built compressor, very tight. After initial start up compressor runs until it hits 150 psi then shuts off, you could put your hand on the cylinder that was barely warm.
